Wallpaper Removal in Bucks County
Taking old paper down is the part people underestimate. Done in a hurry it gouges the drywall and leaves adhesive behind that shows through whatever goes on next.

What we remove
- Standard and prepasted wallpaper
- Vinyl and washable coverings
- Grasscloth, foil, and specialty papers
- Textured and embossed coverings
- Border strips and partial accent walls
- Adhesive and paste residue
- Wall repair, skim coating, and priming afterward
- Commercial and residential

Priced to the job, not a template.
Removal is priced by the wall area, how many layers are up there, what the paper is, and what shape the wall is in underneath. A single accent wall and a papered dining room with three layers on it are different jobs. We look at it, test a corner, and give you a written price at no cost. When removal is the first step of a painting job it is usually folded into that estimate.
Common questions.
Do you remove wallpaper as well as hang it?
Both. Taking old paper down is the part people underestimate, and done wrong it gouges the drywall and leaves adhesive behind that telegraphs through whatever goes on next. Both the paper and the glue have to come off, then the wall gets prepared and primed.
Can you just paint over wallpaper?
We do not recommend it. Paint seals moisture against the adhesive, which lets the paper lift later, and every seam and bubble shows through the new finish. On a short term rental or a wall that is coming out anyway there are exceptions, and we will say so.
What if the wall is damaged under the paper?
That is common, especially where paper was hung straight onto unprimed drywall. The wall gets repaired as part of the job: prime, seam tape, spackle, sand, then prime again for a smooth surface. Plaster the same way.
Do you remove textured or specialty coverings?
Yes. Grasscloth, vinyl, foil, and heavily textured papers all come off differently and some are slower than standard paper. We will tell you which one you have when we look at it.
